![]() Solved: Bug - Skype and Spotify - Page 2. Hi, same problem here. I've noticed that this issue was fixed at some point, but it still happens once in a while. I've tried to repro it, but couldn't do it on purpose so far. Here is what I've observed, pretty much same as other people described before me. Once in a while after a Skype call I notice that Spotify is playing very quite. Music during that call was paused. I open mixer and I see that all sliders are where they should be, Spotify level is restored, but sound is quite low. On picture above you can notice that green/grey levels on Device and Application/Spotify are lower to what they should be. Spotify volume is at max in app setting, and music is consistent so green level should be at max (up till slider) and overall level (grey) should be higher than slider. Previous image was taken after I clicked on Device level slider (didn't move it), nothing changed. When using my microphone, the microphone level automatically adjusts. Volumes being turned down when playing valve games. Windows 8 turns program sound volume down randomly. What happened to Skype video app and Messaging Integration? Other Microsoft sites. Windows; Office; Surface; Windows Phone; Mobile Devices; XBOX; MSN; Bing. ![]() Then I clicked on Spotify level slider (again, didn't move it), and the sound level was restored, as you can see on image below. Windows 7 Professional SP1, Spotify v. Hope this helps. I'll update my post if I manage to find reliable repro steps. I am having a problem with my skype. Just to get it out of the way, i know that a lot of people have problems with skype turning down the volume of other programs. ![]() Automatic Turn Down Sound. I thought it was Skype that was lowering my other applications' volumes. If I want to change the volume of other programs I'll do that myself. Windows 7 volume after 'communications activity'. ![]()
